Who We Are

Child Care Information (CCI) is a bilingual, publicly funded information and referral service on early learning and child care. The purpose of Child Care Information is to provide guidance and information on all available child care options in Ottawa. Bilingual staff are available by phone or in person to help parents make informed child care choices. Comprehensive child care and nursery school directories as well as other helpful publications are available for sale. Child Care Information also manages the Centralized Waiting List for all the licensed child care centres and home child care programs in the City of Ottawa.

What We Do

Child Care Information offers a range of services and products including:

• on-site and telephone information and referral service on child care options and issues
• a Centralized Waiting List for Licensed Child Care Services in Ottawa
• customized information generated by data collected by CCI
• an on-site resource centre with written information on child care options
• community outreach, providing information and guidance on child care
• information sessions and workshops on child care choices
• a series of four bilingual publications on child care issues and options (order form)

Fees

Individual information and referral services are provided at no charge. Fees for The Customized Child Care Options Workshop are based on the number of sessions contracted. Some information sessions are provided to the community at no charge.

The Team

Our bilingual Information Counsellors are available to assist you Monday to Friday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm by phone or in person at our office.
