Program Philosophy
Our programs share a philosophy that is supportive of the right of every child and family to expect and receive the highest quality of early learning and care that we can offer. We believe that the child care environment should be inclusive of all children and we strive to offer programs that are supportive, caring and creative. We offer opportunities for growth and development in every area, while recognizing that each child is a unique individual. Parents are an integral part of our inclusive philosophy and we encourage families to be involved in the program as much as possible.
Curriculum
The curriculum is designed to allow flexible, spontaneous activities based on the children’s interests. Following "the emergent-based curriculum" design and the "project approach", our Early Childhood Educators provide a stimulating, educational, play-based environment which guides the children’s learning, enhances their knowledge and meets their individual developmental needs.
Staff post weekly program plans that state objectives and learning possibilities. The process of activities and the actual learning outcomes are posted in a written format, supported by pictures so that there is accountability to both the parents and the Ministry of Community and Social Services and the Ministry of Children and Youth Services.
