Supply Teachers and Short Term Child Care Workers
We have an on-going need for Supply Teachers and Short Term Child Care Workers to work, on an on-call basis, to provide high quality child care and early learning in settings that meet diverse needs and promote optimum physical, social, cognitive and intellectual development of the children in care.

We are very excited to implement a new PILOT PROJECT to better meet the needs of Supply Teachers and Short Term Child Care recruitment at Andrew Fleck Child Care Services. Since several of our programs have an on-going need for these positions, we are setting up a Centralized Supply Teachers and Short Term Child Care Workers List. You can now apply through one e-mail address to be considered for each of our programs.
Supply Teacher Qualifications include:
- Previous experience assisting in early learning and care environments or working directly with children
- Demonstrates understanding of a licensed group care environment
- Negative Criminal reference check
- Proven ability to work closely with other team members
- Sensitivity and respect for individual and cultural differences
- Adequate energy level and ability to meet the physical demands of the job
- Experience working with children who have special needs would be an asset
- Early Childhood Education diploma or degree from a recognized college or university or other equivalent educational qualifications is an asset
- An additional language would be an asset
Short Term Child Care Caregivers Qualifications include:
- Experience working with children
- A medical certificate, criminal reference check and Children's Aid Society clearance will be required
- A current First Aid/CPR certificate
- Professional references are required
- Diploma in the field of Early Childhood Education, Nursing, Child and Youth Studies are assets
- Bilingualism (English & French) is an asset
