To commemorate our 100th anniversary we have planned a series of activities and community events that celebrate and acknowledge the people who have made Andrew Fleck Child Care Services the leader it is, the children and families who have been at the centre of our services and the staff who have dedicated their careers to children and families, particularly those living in difficult circumstances.
The history of AFCCS is closely tied to the history of the City of Ottawa as it developed as a community. Our Centennial will be an opportunity to “open our doors” so that the community can understand the visionary role our “founders” played through their commitment and investment in meeting the early learning needs of children, regardless of their parents’ financial means. This will be a great opportunity to once more focus our attention and celebrate quality early learning programming.
Over the past 100 years, AFCCS has developed innovative programs and expanded the organization to provide a comprehensive range of services, in English and French that meet the diverse early learning and child care needs of families in the City of Ottawa. We now operate 11 programs in 6 locations, providing a continuum of child care, information, support and early year’s services to over 4,300 children and 27,000 families each year. The key to our continued success is our unwavering commitment to excellence, innovation and inclusion.
Please join us as we work to ensure that our agency’s programs continue to respond to the ever changing and diverse needs of the children and families in our community and that our youngest members thrive and look to the future with optimism and strength.
Please consider playing a special role in celebrating this community and early learning milestone by becoming a supporter of our Friends of Andrew Fleck Campaign. Your contribution will help ensure that our 100th Anniversary marks the beginning of another 100 years of innovative and quality early learning programming.
